Outdoor Adventure Camp

Outdoor Adventure Camp is camping at its finest and is great for the adventurous camper!

In addition to the fabulous adventure activities offered, this program has several focus areas:

    1. Building Independence: We place a strong emphasis on helping our OAC campers learn to be self-sufficient. This includes daily practice of independent living skills; learning how to make appropriate food choices, planning and executing a meal (food preparation and clean up), caring for one’s belongings, as well as self-care.
  1. Teamwork and Building Relationships: OAC also focuses on building friendship and working together as a team, both through its day-to-day camp life and during the specialized activities.

Campers gain experience with these important skills in a structured, caring and supportive environment. OAC offers a great opportunity for campers to bond with their peers while participating in a wide variety of appropriate challenges and adventures!

In Outdoor Adventure Camp, campers sleep in amazing tipis on camping cots or sleeping mats. Located just a short walk from Main Camp, Outdoor Adventure Camp is nestled in the redwoods with opportunities to explore the great outdoors through uniquely crafted expeditions.

Campers in Outdoor Adventure Camp get to enjoy the 80+ acres of Camp Krem that is rarely seen by any other camper. This camp is jam-packed full of adventures, which may include:

    • Hiking
    • Exploring
    • Backpacking
    • Rock Climbing
    • Archery
    • Campfires (complete with sing-a-longs and marshmallow roasting)
    • Sea Kayaking
    • Nature Appreciation and Education
    • Beach Days

One of the many highlights of Outdoor Adventure Camp is having the option of coming to Main Camp to participate in the extra special activities. OAC campers get the best of both worlds — they frequently join Main Camp for things like pool time, Talent Shows and opening and closing campfire ceremonies.

Participation Criteria:
