Must be able to pass a government background check, and reference checks.
Current First Aid and CPR certification, or willingness to obtain prior to starting work;
Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. Staff will be required to send Camp Krem a copy of their CDC vaccination card prior to the start of camp;
Must be a positive and encouraging role model;
Must be adaptable, enthusiastic, patient, compassionate and possess good judgment;
Must be able to read and write in English;
Must be able to attend at least one full camp session, and the mandatory, paid, staff training that takes place prior to the start of the summer;
Camp is physically demanding. Applicants should be in good physical health & be able to withstand being on their feet most of the day in mountain terrain, while participating enthusiastically in camp activities/duties and supervising campers. Applicants should be able to lift at least 50 lbs, and be willing/able to live in a rustic camp setting and work long/irregular hours;
Physical ability to respond appropriately to situations requiring first aid. Must be able to assist campers in an emergency (fire, evacuation, illness, or injury);
Applicants should be mentally healthy and in a good, stable emotional state. Applicants should be comfortable with caring for and supporting campers with a range of needs;
Applicants should feel comfortable with being in a rustic, forest environment, with limited access to internet and cellphones;
Camping Unlimited was established in 1957 and is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which provides fulfilling camping, recreational, educational and respite services to children and adults with developmental disabilities around the year.
