A Note from the Directors

Dear Friends & Supporters of Camp Krem,

Happy New Year! 2017 promises to be an exciting, dynamic year for the program, with plans in the works for facility and program expansions. This year also marks our 60th Anniversary! For 60 years, Camping Unlimited – Camp Krem has had the privilege of giving exceptional people the opportunity to be themselves. We are immensely proud of how Camp has grown and continues to thrive —  we look forward to the next 60 years!

The Year-Round Respite Program continues, with something fun every weekend. Last Saturday, campers, staff and volunteers enjoyed taking a tour of the Jelly Belly Factory and, of course, eating their fill of jellybeans. This weekend they are off to Donner Lake to stay in a lake-front cabin and play in the snow. A special thank you to Tinker Davis for generously welcoming us into her cabin and for being such a good host!

We are thrilled to announce that we have raised $82,389 so far for the new playground. Thank you to everyone who was generous enough to donate! A special thank you goes out to our largest donors, Broadmore Church, HARTS and Denica Freitas, for their incredible generosity! We haven’t given up and hope to make it to $100,000 in order to purchase all the great equipment on the wish list.

Preparations for Summer 2017 are now underway. See below for more details!

Happy Camping!

In Loving Memory of Janet Von Der Linn

It is with immense sadness that we share with you the passing of beloved, long-time volunteer and Board Member, Janet Von Der Linn. Janet passed away on the evening of January 9th, surrounded by family.

She was, without a doubt, one of our most dedicated volunteers. All who knew Janet can attest to her beautiful smile, warm personality and vibrant sense of humor. For many of our campers, Janet’s presence was the highlight of their weekends. She will be missed dearly by campers, staff and volunteers.
